PMFORUM READERS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN PROJECT INTEGRATION MANAGEMENT SURVEY
Project professionals intuitively know that project success depends on cooperation and consultation. Often though, projects achieve lacklustre results because of apathy when stakeholders feel over-consulted or over-looked. What corrective actions can be taken by project managers to diagnose and rectify stakeholder apathy before it tarnishes perceptions of project performance?

Please help us by completing a global survey to advance current practices in managing stakeholder relations, negotiation and teamwork: https://seek.gsm.mq.edu.au/rstejer/. The survey will take about 20 minutes, requiring responses to 41 questions using drop-down menus and checkboxes. The results will be published in PM World Today. Participants may also request a copy of the results via e-mail.

This research aims to determine what factors of communication, cooperation, and trust may help project managers make better decisions under conditions of uncertainty. It explores Cooperative Competency as a link between the quality of interdependent relationships and successful project outcomes. Ironically, very little is actually understood about cooperation in project contexts.

Research about factors leading to cooperation or apathy in project teams and among stakeholders is directed by Richard Stejer, PMP and doctoral candidate at Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia. He is supervised by Dr. Robert (Bob) Hunt.

Mr. Richard Stejer is Service Delivery Manager for Terra Firma, a specialist firm providing business analysis and project management services. Also, he is a candidate for Doctor of Business Administration (DBA). He is committed to advancing knowledge about Project Integration Management and the ‘soft’ skillsthat lead to perceptions of project success among senior executives.
