I have no problem with your three points, but I think those points may be symptoms of deeper problems rather than simple marketing problems. Around the world many people are questioning the basic PM paradigms. The PMI PMBOK (R) model or the Prince2 methodology assume a command and control environment. They are deterministic models in a stochastic world. That is why new paradigms like Agile which assume a chaotic world are being explored. In addition it is hard work to plan ahead and make PM work effectively in human organizations. That is why we have folk sayings like."we will cross that bridge when we come to it or lets play it by ear!" Planning ahead assumes making commitments humans are often reluctant to buy into.
